What's Happening at Reed
Kindness Challenge Week

Join Reed's ASB in being the “i” in KIND and taking part in this year's The Great Kindness Challenge during the week of January 23rd! During this week students and staff will be asked to engage in acts of kindness through daily themes and activities that focus on care, respect, and inclusion to promote kindness across LAUSD, Reed MS, and beyond.

Monday: Compliment a teacher, classmate or staff member - These compliments will be read out loud during morning announcements all week long

Tuesday: Be Kind to Your Campus - PE classes will be assigned designated areas to pick up trash

Wednesday: Kindness Matters Pencils will be distributed to all students during homeroom

Thursday: Kindness Notes will be posted by students around campus

Friday: "Be Kind" Spirit Day - Wear clothing with positive messages . No pajamas!

Beautification Success

Thank you to our volunteers helmed by the wonderful Linda Mathious for continuing to make our campus sparkle!  Check out the newly refurbished planters in Schall Park next time you're over there!

The Reed Music Department is looking for one parent volunteer to take either the Monday morning or Tuesday morning shift to help check-in instruments from students. The time commitment is 7:45am-8:05am on either Monday or Tuesday morning AND huge bonus - the parent volunteer can park in the teacher/staff parking lot during their shift!

If you are interested in supporting the Music Department in this role, please reach out to the parent coordinating the schedule: Annie Heller-Gutwillig at verymoon2@gmail.com
