The NJHS is sponsoring the Milk + Bookies book drive. We are collecting new and gently used books for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The book collection will start May 23 and end on May 30.

Books will be collected Tuesday, May 23- May 30 during homeroom. Students who donate 5 or more books will receive a ticket to the Milk + Cookie Party on Monday, June 5 in the C-Arcade at lunch.

Our Reed Music Department will be putting on their final concerts as follows:
Tuesday, May 30 at 6:30pm - 7th Grade Instrumental
Thursday, June 1 at 6:30pm - 8th Grade Instrumental

Third time’s a charm! The Annual Bunny Bowl is back on the calendar for Wednesday, May 31, and hopefully the weather will cooperate this time! Classes that signed up will attend this fun soccer tournament. Please note there will be a modified bell schedule (available on the Reed website).

Our annual Swing Night concert is Saturday, June 3 from 6:00-9:00pm. This is the music program’s end-of-the-year family celebration, which includes dinner, dessert, dancing, and features music from the jazz bands, 8th grade music awards, and more! Tickets at the door will be $22 for students and $30 for adults. Cash or checks payable to “Walter Reed Middle School” only. Tickets include dinner, drinks, and dessert.

Region North's 1st Kindness 5K Run/Walk event will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Pierce College. 

We are looking forward to this inaugural Joy and Wellness event, and we hope you'll run, walk, and have fun with us!

PLEASE NOTE:  Starting in 2023-24, the district will require ALL in-school and field trip volunteers to be fully processed (including proof of vaccination).  There will no longer be one-day volunteer passes.  Please keep this in mind and plan on starting the process right at the beginning of the school year.
