The first PTSA sponsored academy fundraiser is just around the corner – Reed’s Got Talent, our annual talent show hosted by the Humanities academy on Friday, November 3. Students - do you sing, dance or have an amazing talent that just needs to be shared with Team Reed, then this is the event for you! Auditions will be held on October 4 after school - sign up in room 217 to audition by October 3 or submit a video audition to Ms. Szymanski at mxs3106@lausd.net Students from any academy can take part and all families are encouraged to attend the talent show to support this awesome event!

The Book fair is back and will be held in the library for students to visit during nutrition, lunch and after school from October 16–20. We need a couple of volunteers for each sesson to run the cash register so click on the sign up genius link to see if you can help out. You must be a fully approved LAUSD volunteer to help during nutrition and lunch so get your application in now.

Reed family members and friends - we need you! After two years our Reed Career Day is back! We are looking for speakers across a variety of fields to share with our students. Be sure to get your LAUSD volunteer status processed or renewed! Volunteers must be approved YEARLY. So if you were an approved volunteer you need to renew your application, or if you are new to volunteering you must complete the application for the first time!

All volunteers must be approved (including proof of vaccination) if you want to be able to help out with in-person events.

Please note that going forward LAUSD requires ALL volunteers to be fully approved through the district application process. There will be no more one time volunteer approvals.

Last year Reed parents spruced up the staff lounges for our teachers & staff and we are relying on donations to keep it going!
