We are made up of hard-working parents, students & teachers who pool our talents to provide practical support for our school.

PTSA REPRESENTATIVE POSITIONS & COMMITTEE LEADS 2023-2024

Teacher Representative - Ms. Federico

Liaises between the Reed staff/faculty and  parent community to build bridges through constructive communication. 

 

Academy Parent Representatives - 
Liaises between the teacher leads for this academy, parents, and PTSA/FoR, including acting as committee lead for the school-wide event hosted by their academy.

Communications Chair (Joint PTSA / FoR position) - TAMMY BUMANN
Writes and distributes newsletter, oversees website and social media accounts, maintains GuideStar non-profit profile
 

Reflections Committee Lead - JESSICA KELLY AND RENEE CARPENTER

Administers and coordinates the Reed MS PTSA annual Reflections Arts Program and Contest.

 

Appreciation Committee Lead - MARIA DIAZ

Celebrates our teachers all year long and organizes events for teacher appreciation week, including breakfast, massages, gifts & appreciation by class.

 

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee Lead- RESE CLIFTON

This committee collaborates with Reed student cultural clubs and organizations to see how PTSA can partner and support their DEI efforts. In addition, this committee will make recommendations about practices PTSA should adopt in our own organization, and advocate for within Reed and LAUSD, to ensure more equitable and inclusive outcomes.

 

Book Fair Lead- JENNA SCHWARTZ
Help organize the fall book fair and act as liaison with the vendor, and help coordinate volunteers and with communications to get the word out to families.
 
See's Candy Lead- OPEN
Help organize the spring See's Candy online shopping fundraiser.  Liaise with the vendor, and help coordinate with communications to get the word out to families.
